*This event is the 12th Week in this ongoing series.
December’s Open Forum on Race will feature a model for everyone to practice opening yourselves up to becoming aware of your own perspectives in order to empathize and connect with others who hold different perspectives. Holidays are considered to be a special time spent with friends and family. However, that special time can be strained because of differences in opinion on racial inequality.
In closing out the year 2020, I would like to offer coaching conversations that will bind us together. I will make a promise that you may hold me to: I promise to have you leave the Zoom call with a better understanding of those loved ones with different views. In turn, you must promise to open your hearts and minds.
THIS event will be 1.5 hours long. The last half hour is designed for people who have participated in two or more of the Open Forum on Race 'awareness' sessions. We will be in action practicing to cause 'humanity rising'. Those of you who would like to be 'in action' will have the opportunity to simulate conversations that will open or expand your capacity to positively impact race relations in your life.

Andrea Swinton has been facilitating multicultural community conversations, one to four times monthly, over the last three years, in and around the Philadelphia area.
